With my foot on the brake and the engine running when i operate the switch you can hear the motors operating and the alarm bleeping but the dash warning light is not lit up and the roof does not rise one jot. So i suppose it could be electrical contact as unlikely that both motors would fail as they previously worked fine. Both can be changed. Temp till you replace the switch.

If you roof doesn t go up or down don t worry help is at hand. I use my 1996 bongo 2 5d a lot but have not raised the roof for a while and yesterday when trying to do so it didn t work.
