The marble arch geopark is a borderless park which is located within cavan and fermanagh. The marble arch caves global geopark straddles the border between northern ireland and the republic of ireland it is centred on the marble arch caves and in 2001 it became one of the first geoparks to be designated in europe. The geopark was the first ever cross border geopark and it is shared jointly between the fermanagh county council in northern ireland and with the cavan county council in the republic of ireland.
